Can I Install it myself? Yes, if you have a WordPress expert in-house. Otherwise we can install it for you

What comes out of the box? Forms, dynamic content, localization, blog-auto updates & analytics are out-of-the-box. Offers & Smart Visitor Sign-up require scoped work as they will be different for each company

How is it different to Marketo Forms? Why would we use this compared to Marketo Forms? The Plugin offers form pre-filling as well as progressive profiling, whereas standard Marketo forms do not. Also, the forms are fully responsive and are a part of your WordPress template

How easy is it to create forms? The integration tool is compatible with a few plugins (as well as HTML forms) that are used to create forms, meaning it's now easier than ever to create a Marketo integrated form that looks good on your website

Can we use one form across the whole site? Depending on the plugin used to create the form, the form can be easily implemented from one page to another, even across the whole website

How technical do I need to be to use this? For a non tech person? Although this is a WordPress plugin and does require some technical knowledge, our documentation makes it very easy to use

Does it work with Marketo Spark Edition? Marketo Spark Edition is not supported, as it does not have API Access

How does this compare to/work with Marketo RTP? Marketo RTP and our integration are two different products with unique capabilities. RTP is capable of personalized offers but cannot personalize branding, content and any other aspect of WordPress like our integration can. RTP is an enterprise-level solution with an enterprise-level price. Our integration is easily affordable by any company but does not include recommendations engine, A/B testing, auto-tuning & account based marketing

Isn’t there a free Marketo-WordPress plugin? Yes. It adds Marketo analytics & Marketo forms to your site and can be found here. Please note that the forms do not have pre-fill & progressive profiling.

Where are the database calls for the form processed? The database calls for the form are processed directly to Marketo, with no measurable impact on the server. The dynamic content does not go through the SOAP API.

What sort of additional server load will there be? The only additional server load will be the dynamic content. This depends on the caching max time. If this number is low, there are more SOAP API calls to Marketo and too many of these calls will add to the server load. However, if the cache time is set to a higher number, the website is able to fetch the data form the local cache more often.

Are there any suggested and compatible solutions for minimizing the server load? Rather than disable caching for the entire website, caching can still be enabled for web pages with static content

What happens if there are too many SOAP API calls? Marketo usually sets a limit to the amount of daily SOAP API calls (approx. 10,000). If this limit is reached, the SOAP API calls will be refused and no data will be returned. Solutions for this are to either decrease SOAP API calls (through caching) or to contact Marketo to increase this limit

How compatible is this Plugin with Caching tools or CDN? CDN will work fine with the plugin, however caching does not work together with the plugin as you can’t have caching and dynamic content. For clients using W3 Total Cache, you are able to add PHP code on the top of pages with dynamic content to prevent caching. Fragment caching is also available, where you can limit caching to certain sections etc.

What fallback options are available? If Marketo were to stop working, the dynamic content would no longer work properly. The fallback option is either for the website to display the most recently cached data, or to display a normal static page.
